Minnesota Woodland Owner Weekend

Members of the Minnesota Women’s Woodland Network have been working hard helping plan the Minnesota Woodland Owners Weekend (MNWOW). This workshop was originally planned to take place Friday and Saturday, October 2 and 3 at Saint John’s Abbey and University in Collegeville, Minnesota. But, due to COVID-19, MNWOW will now happen virtually on Saturday, Oct. 3.

Nationally recognized keynote speakers—Lee Frelich, Director of the University of Minnesota Center for Forest Ecology, and Doug Tallamy, author of Nature’s Best Hope and Bringing Nature Home—and local natural resource professionals will provide presentations.

You will be given online access to all presentations starting September 26. You can choose to watch all or some of the presentations. Then, on Saturday, Oct. 3, live Question & Answer sessions with the presenters will occur from 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. using the platform Zoom.

MNWWN members receive a $5 discount. Register by August 28 to receive an early registration discount.

Visit Saint John’s OutdoorU website to register, and view the event brochure, session descriptions, and schedule for the live Q&A sessions.

MNWOW is sponsored by Saint John’s Outdoor University, Minnesota Forestry Association, Minnesota Women’s Woodland Network, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, University of Minnesota Extension, and Avon Hills Initiative.

Funding provided by the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund as recommended by the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources.
