The Brainerd Lakes Area Minnesota Women’s Woodland Network (BLAMNWWN) is
having its inaugural meeting at Northland Arboretum on Tuesday October 11, 2022 at
6pm to 8pm, the topic is tree identification. A follow-up meeting is scheduled for
Thursday October 13, same time, same place with the topic of taking stock of what you
have and why that is important.
BLAMNWWN is a new MN Women’s Woodland Network that currently has networks in
the Twin Cities, Duluth area, and Rochester. Ginger Kopp in Brainerd is the coordinator
of the new network.
The purpose of the Women’s Woodland Network is to provide a local community of
women woodland owners, women interested in learning about woods and nature, and
women land managers. Women who own acres of woods, no woods, or 2 trees in the
back yard are welcome. We are a community who want to learn about woods, forests,
and caring for the land. There are no dues or requirements to own trees; you just need
to have an interest in learning about woods and nature.
If you would like to attend the meeting and/or join the network please contact Ginger
Kopp at kopp839@gmail.
