Spruce budworm has a visible impact on Minnesota's Northeast Arrowhead forests. Dead and dying balsam fir and spruce are the most visible signs of spruce budworm infestation, which leaves many of us concerned about managing our woodlands' health.
Extension Educators will hold an in-person and online workshop to learn more about the identification, impacts, and management of spruce budworm with Extension educators. Cook County Firewise and Cook County Soil and Water Conservation District will also share resources for responding to spruce budworm.
The in-person registration for both sessions of this workshop is full, but space is still available for the Zoom version, from 10:00am -11:00am. Learn more about spruce budworm and register for the Zoom session here.
